Product Details:

• Composition: Corian consists of approximately 1/3 acrylic polymer (PMMA or PolyMethyl MethAcrylate) and 2/3 natural minerals, with the primary ingredient being alumina trihydrate (ATH), derived from bauxite ore.
• Homogeneous: Corian is a homogeneous material, meaning its color and pattern are consistent throughout its entire thickness.
• Non-Porous and Hygienic: Its non-porous surface prevents liquids, bacteria, mold, and mildew from penetrating, making it easy to clean and highly hygienic, a key reason for its popularity in healthcare and food preparation environments.
• Seamless Appearance: Corian pieces can be joined with a color-matched acrylic adhesive, creating virtually invisible seams that can be sanded and polished to a smooth finish.
• Durable: Corian is a durable material that resists stains, scratches, and impacts, withstanding the rigors of daily wear and tear.
• Repairable: Unlike some other countertop materials, minor cuts, scratches, and stains on Corian can be repaired, often by the homeowner using fine sandpaper and abrasive pads. Deeper damage might require professional repair by an authorized Corian fabricator or technician.
• Thermoformable: When heated, Corian becomes flexible and can be shaped and molded into various designs, providing designers with immense flexibility in creating custom elements like curved countertops and integrated sinks.
• Heat Resistance: Corian can withstand temperatures up to 100°C (212°F) but requires protection from direct exposure to extremely hot objects like pots and pans to prevent discoloration or warping.
• Color and Design Variety: Corian is available in a vast range of colors, patterns, and textures, including some that mimic natural stone or feature veining, translucency, or metallic flecks. 

• Thickness: Corian is manufactured in three standard thicknesses: 6 mm (0.24 inches), 12 mm (0.47 inches), and 19 mm (0.75 inches).
• Sheets: Standard sheet sizes include 12.3 x 760 x 3680 mm (1/2 x 30 x 144 inches), with selected colors also available in various widths (930 mm and 1300 mm) and thicknesses (4, 6 and 19 mm).
• Shapes: Corian offers a range of vanity basins and single/double bowl sinks designed for seamless integration with Corian sheets.
• Fabrication and Installation: Corian requires fabrication and installation by professionals with specific training and knowledge. DuPont provides a network of authorized Corian fabricators and installers.
